Just a thought
I'm just sitting here thinking and am wondering what drives some people? Some people love the drama the cause. Others only want to be left alone to live their lives. Some people think nothing about the chaos they cause. Others think they are above chaos and don't cause chaos. You are not above others, you are not better than anyone else. Your carelessness affects others. You are not an island unto yourself. Be considerate of others' feelings. Think before you speak. Think before you act. It doesn't matter how you mean things to be, what matters is how your actions and words are perceived by others. Just because you didn't mean to step on someone's toes, doesn't mean you didn't cause them pain. The words, "I'm Sorry" begin to mean less and less when you use them arbitrarily. Don't over use apologetic words if there are no changes afterwards. Over use I love you. Don't be co-dependent. Allow others to have emotions and feelings. And you should have your own, that are not dependent on anyone else.

Sticky Fingers
I have to admit, I am a sucker for trying to do new things. I'm always trying to figure out how to do something or how something works. Yesterday I stumbled upon a rose. But not just any rose! No... this is a rose that was handcrafted; made with duct tape. Yes, that's right, another item that duct tape can fix, mend, repair or be created with! A duct tape rose...What, you may ask, would one do with a duct tape rose? Well, here is a short list (just in case you get one from me)
1. Laugh out Loud and appreciate the thought that someone not only made something for you, but thought enough of you in the first place!
2. Smell it! Hopefully the giver of the rose sprayed it with a nice smelling scent or their cologne or perfume. If they did, then it's another way to think of them during your day!
3. Ask for at least 11 more! You will then always have a dozen roses!
4. Show it to your friends and give them a good laugh and remind them that you are not the most redneck person they know because someone else gave you the rose!
5. Appreciate it. No matter what, a rose is a rose and perhaps you have been a little too busy to stop and smell the roses. Now you have one that will last forever!
I have to admit, my first attempts have not been too great, they barely look like flowers let alone roses. However, as has been said many times, practice makes perfect and perseverance wins the race.
My fingers are a bit sticky and I am wondering how much of my skin has been pulled off of my finger tips, but this is at least fun and a bit mindless, which allows me to relax and enjoy the process.
So, be aware! You may find yourself the recipient of one of my special roses!

Welcome
Welcome to my Blog! I am just beginning with my blog and am excited to have a place to share my random thoughts, opinions and musings. Sometimes I may jot something about my family, particularly about my boys, or I may write about an experience I've had, or some of my 'creative' projects I'm working on. I used quotes around creative because I really don't see myself as a creative person, but I sure do try!
I will also use this blog to hopefully meet new people, express my opinions about what is happening in the world and my life. I may post a short story, or the beginning of a novel (though that will be a while yet....).If you are a follower, I am very grateful to have you and hope that you enjoy your readings here. If there is anything in particular that you would like me to write about, please leave me a note in the comments section under any of my posts. Also, I'm hoping that you will find my blog interesting enough to invite others to read and follow!
Thanks for being on this journey with me and I look forward to our time together!
